Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Developer – Data Warehousing & Infrastructure to lead the design, optimization, and governance of large-scale data warehouses and cloud infrastructure. This hybrid role is based in Fort Washington, PA and focuses on advancing analytics capabilities across the organization.

The position requires 5+ years in data engineering or related fields, strong Microsoft Azure experience, advanced SQL skills, and a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, storage, Azure AD, resource management).
• Advanced SQL skills, database optimization, ETL/ELT development, and cloud-native data platform expertise.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing large-scale enterprise data warehouses and supporting infrastructure.
• Building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines across diverse data sources.
• Improving performance and reliability of cloud and on-prem data platforms.
• Mentoring associate and mid-level engineers and supporting cross-functional teams.
• Ensuring governance, security compliance, and participation in Azure cloud migration projects.
