Job summary

The Human Services Administration Organization (HSAO) in Pittsburgh, PA, seeks a Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion Specialist to support LEAD case management. This full-time role focuses on assessment, linkage to behavioral health and social services, and advocacy within the criminal justice system.

The position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, adherence to HIPAA, and commitment to harm-reduction principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, nursing, criminal justice, or related field (master’s degree preferred).
• Two years of experience in case management or behavioral health (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of mental health and addiction treatment principles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact and advocate for individuals and families, ensuring services align with their needs and goals.
• Develop and update individualized service plans based on assessments.
• Provide face-to-face client support at least monthly.
• Assist clients in navigating the criminal justice system, including court proceedings, probation/parole, and treatment services.
• Coordinate with behavioral health providers to ensure access to mental health, drug, and alcohol services.
