Job summary
Ford Motor Company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to specify, design, validate, and launch machining systems for engine and transmission components. You will work with engineers, operations, and suppliers to manage tooling, gauging, and process documentation across a hybrid manufacturing environment.
The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, PFMEA understanding, and leadership in tool installation, start-up, and continuous improvement, with travel for launches and extended site
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Strong teamwork and communication.
- Willingness to travel for launches and extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Manufacturing Delivery Quality Operating System requirements for your subsystem.
- Collaborate with Product Development to estimate facility/tooling costs and improve quality.
- Use virtual tools to evaluate designs for high-volume manufacturing.
- Lead tooling installation, start-up and commissioning at the site.
