Job summary

raSmith is seeking a Land Survey CAD Technician to support the Survey Services division. You will review project files, analyze field notes and legal descriptions, and prepare survey documents such as ALTA/NSPS surveys and plats.

The role requires understanding of surveying concepts and how they fit into broader project plans. Ideal candidates have an associate or bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field and 0–3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field from a US-accredited school.
• 0-3+ years of experience in land surveying or related field.
• Knowledge of surveying methods, practices and techniques and the legal aspects of surveying required.

Responsibilities

• Review project files to determine materials and information needed to complete drafting tasks.
• Analyze field notes, legal descriptions, title easements, design plans, utility plans and layout notes.
• Prepare survey documents including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey, Plat of Survey, Certified Survey Maps and plats.
• Develop understanding of surveying concepts and how surveying integrates into plans and projects.
