raSmith is seeking a Land Survey CAD Technician in our Survey Services division to contribute to a wide range of projects nationwide from Wisconsin offices. The role combines drafting with survey analysis and prepares ALTA/NSPS surveys and plats, offering a path for career growth in a collaborative, people‑oriented firm.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 0-3+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of surveying methods and the legal aspects of surveying.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing assigned project files for necessary materials and information to carry out project scope and drafting tasks.
• Providing thorough analysis of field notes, legal descriptions, title easements, design plans, utility plans and construction layout notes.
• Preparing survey documents including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey, Plat of Survey, Certified Survey Maps, topographic maps, Transportation Plats, Condominium Plats, Subdivision Plats, legal descriptions and other survey exhibits.
• Developing an understanding of surveying concepts, our company business and how surveying is integrated into plans and projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
