Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer to monitor and support LAN and Wi‑Fi, working largely independently. Onsite in Raleigh, NC with a hybrid schedule (office 4 days/week now, may change).

The role requires 3–7 years of relevant network experience, strong TCP/IP, VLANs, and LAN security knowledge; familiarity with Cisco Meraki and Fortinet is a plus. You will troubleshoot, document, and escalate issues while coordinating with Tier 2/3 teams and management.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years relevant network experience required
• Experience with LAN protocols and VLANs
• Cisco Meraki, HPE Aruba, Juniper Mist, Fortinet knowledge preferred
• Certifications preferred (Cisco or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot LAN and Wi‑Fi connectivity including switches/routers/cabling.
• Resolve ServiceNow Trouble tickets.
• Document steps and solutions for future reference.
• Provide Tier 2/3 LAN support escalation and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with other LAN engineers on complex issues.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
