Illinois Gaming Board is seeking a Labor Relations Officer to support the HR Division in Springfield, IL. You will assist the HR Director with bargaining agreements and discussions with unions, employees, and managers, using strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Your role requires clear communication with internal and external stakeholders, travel as needed, and adherence to state ethics and gaming act requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration.
• Requires three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or private organization in labor relations.

Responsabilités

• Directs and manages labor relations activities for all unit functions, including third level grievance hearings and policy interpretations.
• Provides information and technical guidance to management and staff on discipline measures, grievances, evaluations, contracts, and CMS rules.
• Conducts third level grievance hearings.
• Develops policies related to labor and personnel matters.
• Represents the Department at meetings relating to labor relations issues.
• Serves as a full line supervisor.
• Performs other duties within the scope of labor relations duties.
