Job summary

The Illinois Gaming Board is seeking a Labor Relations Officer to join its HR Division in Illinois. You will manage labor relations activities including grievance hearings, disciplinary measures, and policy interpretations, guiding management and staff on labor matters.

Responsibilities include conducting third-level grievance hearings and serving as the department's representative on labor relations issues, requiring strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities to collaborate

Qualifications

• Four years of college coursework, preferably in business or public administration.
• Three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in labor relations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to pass Illinois Gaming Board background investigation and maintain valid Illinois driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to management and staff on labor matters.
