The Illinois Gaming Board is seeking to hire a Labor Relations Officer to work in its HR Division in Springfield. The position supports bargaining administration and communication with unions, employees and managers in a collaborative environment.

Essential qualifications include a four-year college degree and at least three years of labor relations experience; strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are required. The role offers a salaried schedule with hybrid in-office days.

Qualifications

Four years of college education, preferably with coursework in business or public administration.
Three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in labor relations.

Responsibilities

Serves as the Labor Relations Officer directing and managing labor relations activities for all unit functions.
Provides information and technical assistance regarding discipline measures and procedures, grievances, employee evaluations, contracts and interpretations of CMS rules.
Conducts third level grievance hearings and develops policies related to labor and personnel matters.
Represents the department at meetings relating to labor relations issues and serves as a full line supervisor.
