Job summary

Tempus in Chicago is seeking a Laboratory Operations Analyst for a hybrid schedule with 3 days on-site. You will manage samples in LIMS, learn internal lab processes, and communicate status to pharma/partner ops teams.

The role requires a biology-related degree, strong customer service, and meticulous organization. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally and respond promptly to inquiries to support timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in Biological Sciences or similar is preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with superb attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a high-level team and independently; quick learner.

Responsibilities

• Manage samples in the laboratory information management system (LIMS) and ensure quick and efficient specimen processing.
• Develop an understanding of internal lab processes and databases related to pharma/partner ops projects.
• Communicate with pharma/partner ops teams to clarify specimen status, delays, and completion dates.
• Respond to inquiries by email, Slack and in person quickly and professionally.
• Track and manage progress on pharma/partner ops laboratory projects.
