Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Medical Laboratory professional to support Laboratory Information Systems and related IT workflows. The role involves 50% time in hospital laboratories and travel to multiple hospital sites for projects. Experience with Epic Beaker and chemistry workflows is preferred.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with day shifts at primary locations and flexibility for IT-related work. Requires an ASCP/NAACLS-aligned background and strong data integrity skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree not required; positions require an ASCP/NAACLS-accredited Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science program or equivalent.
• ASCP categorical certification or two years' experience as Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in a clinical lab may satisfy degree path.
• Hybrid work from home option; on-site hospital locations are possible for GMC, GWV, GCMC, GLH, GSACH, GBH, GMCM and GJSH.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for LIS-related project tasks including analysis, training, testing, documentation and implementation. Provides input for project plans.
• Develops and maintains LIS, verifies data entry, and supports LIS/IT across the laboratory area.
• Tests software releases, verifies reports for accuracy, and develops ad hoc reports and dashboards as required.
