Job summary

JBA International, a civil litigation defense firm in California, seeks an associate attorney to join our team. The attorney will work with an established litigations group and a strong client base, with ample growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate has 4–8 years of experience, is admitted to the California Bar, and brings labor and employment or civil litigation expertise. A hybrid or fully in-office arrangement is offered.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the California Bar.
• 4–8 years of experience in a law firm or in-house setting.
• Preference for labor and employment experience; civil litigation welcome.
• Experience managing cases independently under supervision by supervising partner.
• Ample experience taking depositions and arguing motions in court.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with an established team of litigators and a robust client base.
• Handle a caseload with minimal supervision and significant opportunities for advancement.
