Job summary
Signal Point Technologies is seeking a driven L2 Support Engineer to join our team in a hybrid setup across Northern MA and Southern NH. You will handle client-facing support, troubleshoot a range of desktop, server, and network issues, and collaborate with senior engineers on complex projects.
Ideal candidates have 2+ years in technical support, strong Windows and network knowledge, and experience with RMM/PSA tools.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in technical support, preferably MSP environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows Servers, Active Directory, and Windows/Mac OS environments
- Strong knowledge of network fundamentals and configurations (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and troubleshooting network issues
- Familiarity with RMM and PSA tools such as HaloPSA and NinjaOne
- Ability to work with cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with root cause analysis
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level support for client systems
- Respond to support tickets and resolve issues promptly
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers
- Monitor client systems using RMM tools
- Explain issues clearly to clients and stakeholders
- Perform routine maintenance tasks like patching and backups
- Assist with security deployments (antivirus, firewalls, encryption)
- Document tickets and configurations in the system
- Provide onsite and remote support as required
- Collaborate with senior engineers on complex problems
- Contribute to knowledge base and best practices
