Job summary

The Options Clearing Corporation in Chicago offers a 12-week Summer Internship Program. Interns work up to 40 hours per week in a hybrid environment and contribute to the ETS Knowledge Continuity project within the KM team.

As an intern, you audit documentation, identify knowledge at risk, and support sprint ceremonies while gaining hands-on exposure to knowledge management, information governance, and IT compliance in a compliance-driven setting.

Qualifications

• Rising senior or second-year graduate student; graduating December 2027 or May/August 2028.
• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Library/Information Science, Business Administration or related field.
• Exposure to Confluence, Jira and SharePoint is helpful but not required.
• No coding or scripting required; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the knowledge risk assessment by identifying domain owners, SMEs and single points of failure across ETS knowledge domains.
• Pilot the lightweight knowledge capture standard by drafting or formatting a subset of knowledge assets.
• Validity check of piloted knowledge assets and logging gaps or unclear sections.
• Organize and tag pilot knowledge assets to support findability per governance principles.
• Track action items and maintain documentation for the quarterly risk assessment cadence.
