Job summary

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is offering a 12-week summer internship in Credit Risk Management. The program blends in-person collaboration at Chicago or Dallas with a hybrid work option and structured learning.

Interns will engage in due diligence, financial analyses, risk examinations, and data-driven projects alongside experienced analysts. Rising seniors or early graduate students may apply, pursuing degrees in Finance, Economics, or related fields.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office with Excel lookups and pivot tables for data analysis.
• Read and understand financial statements.
• Excellent organization skills and detail orientation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with large relational data sets, SQL, Python, Java, and data visualization tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support due diligence and financial statement analysis for Clearing Member onboarding.
• Assist with Watch Level surveillance and identify emerging risk trends.
• Help prepare materials for Clearing Member risk examinations (questionnaires, requests, findings).
• Contribute to analysis and reporting to management.
• Assist with special projects (process enhancements, data transformation, code reviews, dashboard design, risk model support).
