Job summary

AECOM is hosting an exclusive entry-level Roadway Engineer networking event in Atlanta, offering spring/summer 2027 opportunities. You will contribute to transportation projects, applying engineering principles from planning through construction and learning from experienced staff.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, with EIT preferred, and familiarity with roadway design concepts. Hybrid work, onboarding, and a path to professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• Familiarity with roadway design principles and transportation concepts.
• internship or academic project experience in transportation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of roadway projects per standards and client requirements.
• Prepare and modify roadway plan sheets, alignments, profiles, layouts and cross sections.
• Use CADD software to support project development and design production.
• Perform engineering calculations, quantity estimates and technical analyses under senior staff.
• Prepare reports, specifications, cost estimates and project documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to support objectives and schedules.
• Engage in project meetings and contribute to technical discussions and deliverables.
• Support quality control and ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
