Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join a hybrid team. You will contribute to Java-based applications, work with RESTful services, and grow under the guidance of experienced engineers.

You should have 9–12 months of development experience, solid Java fundamentals including newer features, and familiarity with SQL, Git, and unit testing. English proficiency at B2+ is requested, with opportunities to work across Agile teams.

Qualifications

• 9–12 months of production experience in software development.
• Strong Java fundamentals and familiarity with Java 21 features.
• SQL and relational databases; REST concepts; basic HTTP.
• Experience with JUnit and unit testing principles.
• Git version control and Agile teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java software components with guidance from senior team members.
• Write clean, readable code and follow team standards and best practices.
• Implement and consume RESTful APIs as part of application development tasks.
• Write unit tests to ensure correctness and reliability of delivered code.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies and collaborate with QA and business analysts.
