Job summary

EPAM Systems Poland is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a hybrid team with offices in Kraków, Wrocław, or Gdańsk. You’ll design and implement scalable Java-based backend services and modern frontend components, delivering robust REST APIs and event-driven architectures.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product and UX teams, engineering excellence, and continuous learning within an international Agile environment. Strong Spring Boot, Kafka, and cloud skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full stack software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot for enterprise backend applications.
• Solid knowledge of Spring Security for authentication and secure design.
• Proven experience in designing and developing REST APIs following best practices.
• Proficiency with SQL databases, complex queries, performance tuning, and data modeling.
• Experience writing reliable tests using JUnit or similar frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event streaming and async messaging.
• Proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework (Angular or React).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in an international Agile team.
• Proficiency in English (B2+).
• Nice to have Terraform for IaC and Azure cloud services knowledge.
• Familiarity with AWS Lambda, ECS, and DynamoDB.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable fullstack applications using Java-based backend technologies and modern frontend frameworks.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven services to support complex business requirements.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and advocate for best practices in code quality, security, and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure maintainability.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and stability.
• Work with messaging systems and asynchronous communication patterns to support distributed architectures.
• Continuously identify opportunities for technical improvement and evolve the technology stack.
