Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Junior Infrastructure Engineer for a hybrid role at a new manufacturing facility in Glendale, KY. You will support on‑premises data center and edge infrastructure, gaining hands-on exposure to OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux, and Infrastructure as Code while learning from senior engineers.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, plant technology, and security teams to deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot platforms, contributing to reliable plant operations and continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, engineering, or related field, or equivalent training.
• Foundational knowledge of Linux, networking, servers, virtualization, storage, or cloud concepts.
• Exposure to Red Hat, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Ansible, Git, Grafana, Splunk, or Datadog is helpful.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• On-site in a manufacturing environment with occasional off-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of on-premises data center and edge infrastructure
• Support Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux, virtualization, and related platform technologies
• Help maintain Infrastructure as Code templates, scripts, documentation, and deployment processes
• Monitor platform health, respond to alerts, document incidents, and escalate issues
• Assist with storage, backup, patching, access, and disaster recovery activities
• Participate in plant infrastructure projects, testing, go-live support, and continuous improvement initiatives

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent technical training and hands‑on experience
