Job summary

Regal Rexnord in Simi Valley, CA is seeking a General Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and support GAAP-compliant processes. You will contribute to the monthly close, reconciliations, and internal reporting, while ensuring data integrity and informing business decisions.

This role collaborates with Finance and Operations to ensure timely reporting, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve efficiency across accounting activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years of general accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations.
• Support the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met and results are accurate.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal reports.
• Analyze financial data and provide variance explanations.
• Maintain audit trails for all accounting activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory variance reviews.
• Support the E&O inventory review process, including data preparation and analysis.
• Provide routine reports to support operations and finance teams.
