Job summary

Zenith Insurance Company seeks an experienced Java developer for a hybrid role based in Roseville, CA. You will develop and maintain Java applications, write SQL, and participate in code reviews, ensuring secure, well-documented changes.

Responsibilities include deployment support, debugging, and collaboration with developers, analysts, and testers. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 3+ years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with sustaining and deploying Java-based business applications.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of unit testing with JUnit/Mockito and build tools Maven/Gradle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications per business requirements and specs.
• Write and debug SQL to support functionality and data validation.
• Troubleshoot defects by reviewing code, logs, and DB information.
• Develop and maintain unit tests and support testing efforts.
• Participate in code reviews and follow security and change-management practices.
• Document changes and communicate progress and dependencies.
• Support deployments and production issue resolution as needed.
• Collaborate with teammates and adapt to feedback.
