Job summary

County of El Dorado is seeking an IT Analyst III - Server Design & Admin to lead complex server design and operations. The role requires advanced technical expertise in Windows Server environments, AD, PKI, and automation.

You will mentor staff, drive major projects, and ensure secure, scalable infrastructure across county systems. The position is hybrid, onsite in Placerville, CA, with telework options consistent with business needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in IT or related field; certifications may substitute part of education.
Four years of professional experience in enterprise IT systems development and administration.
Or two years at the County's IT Analyst II level in server design and admin.
Valid California driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

Lead design, engineering, and maintenance of complex county server systems across platforms.
Provide technical guidance and mentor staff; resolve highly complex problems.
Coordinate large system projects and strategic planning for infrastructure.
Document workflows, system designs, and admin policies clearly.
Collaborate on architecture, security, and integration of client/server solutions.
