The ideal candidate has hands on experience administering Windows Server environments at scale, including day to day troubleshooting, patching, and hardening across a domain joined enterprise infrastructure. They are proficient in PowerShell, not just running existing scripts, but writing, testing, and maintaining automation independently. They are also comfortable owning the DevOps style automation that drives monthly server build processes. They bring direct experience with Active Directory administration, including Group Policy design, testing, and troubleshooting. They also have experience with PKI and certificate lifecycle management within a Microsoft ADCS environment, covering issuance, renewal, troubleshooting, and eventually template level administration.
Experience with scheduled task or orchestration platforms and enterprise credential vaulting, such as managed service accounts and secret management under OAuth2 or MFA, is a strong plus. Familiarity with IIS web application deployment is also a plus. Familiarity with enterprise backup platforms, Rubrik in particular, is helpful. This role's involvement is architecture and planning input on the County's Rubrik implementation, not day-to-day backup operations. Above all, the ideal candidate operates at a Level 3 analytical tier, capable of independently architecting infrastructure solutions and resolving complex, ambiguous problems without escalation.
