Job summary

The County of El Dorado is seeking an experienced Information Technology Supervisor in Placerville, CA. This role oversees IT staff, manages multiple technology domains, and leads complex projects across databases, devices, operating systems, servers, and networks.

Strong leadership, governance, and vendor coordination are essential. You will drive staff development, establish policies, and ensure service levels.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, information systems, or a closely related field
• Seven (7) years of experience in IT fields with leadership and project management
• Three (3) years at the level of Information Technology Analyst II/III or equivalent leadership role

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of technology employees within one or more option areas; hire and direct staff; plan, prioritize, schedule, assign, and evaluate work.
• Develop staff training and ensure needs are met.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures; manage staffing and material needs to achieve goals.
• Evaluate operations and prepare reports to maintain SLAs.
• Solve complex applications, network, and IT issues as a working supervisor.
