Job summary

Vision Government Solutions seeks a Sr. Manager of IT to lead a geographically distributed team across network, security, and application support for local offices, datacenters, and Azure hosting.

You will deliver daily IT projects, drive innovation, and align priorities with business goals. Ideal candidates bring 7–10 years of hands-on IT experience, strong cybersecurity governance, and proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years of progressive IT experience, including hands-on infrastructure, SRE, or application management work
• Experience managing hybrid environments spanning cloud (Azure preferred), on-premise infrastructure, and customer-deployed software
• Leadership in cybersecurity management and governance activities
• Working knowledge of network administration, security operations, and incident response
• Experience forecasting and managing IT budgets, software licensing, and vendor/capex decisions
• Experience managing distributed teams across multiple locations and functions
• Strong data-driven decision-making habits using metrics to guide prioritization
• Experience performing M&A due diligence, integration planning and forecasting, and integration of acquired IT infrastructure
• Strong written and visual communication skills for executive-level metrics and analyses

Responsibilities

• Lead a geographically distributed IT team covering network, security, configuration and support, incident response, and installation/upgrade support for internal helpdesk, datacenters, and Azure hosting facilities
• Own the team's mission and roadmap, set priorities, manage budget and vendor relationships, and foster productive IT culture
• Drive innovation to execute more efficiently, securely, and timely; participate in M&A due diligence and technical integration
