Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) is seeking an IT Audit Assurance Intern in San Jose, CA. You will deliver a full range of IT audit services, testing information systems controls to support financial statement audits, and work alongside partners, managers, and senior executives on engagements.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, MIS or related field, with a desire for CPA/CISA/CISSP/CIA/CISM Licenses.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Desire to pursue CPA, CISA, CISSP, CIA or CISM license/certification.
• Some related work experience in public accounting or equivalent delivering controls based services and ITGC testing.

Responsibilities

• Testing and assessment of information systems controls in support of financial statement audits.
• Collaborate with Partners, Managers, and Senior Executives on engagements.
• Identify security and risk management issues and opportunities for process improvement.
• Participate in recruiting efforts as needed.
• Meet or exceed IT Assurance metrics (billable hours, CPE, time delinquencies).
• Participate in other business development activities as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
