Job summary

Grant Thornton in Boston is seeking an IT Assurance Associate to deliver IT audit services, testing controls and assessing information systems. You will interact with client management to manage expectations and deadlines while applying IT risk knowledge across engagements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance/IT/MIS, a strong interest in CPA/CISA/CISSP/CIA/CISM, and related IT audit experience. Hybrid work with in-person days, travel, and excellent client service are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, IT, MIS or related field.
• Desire to pursue CPA, CISA, CISSP, CIA or CISM licenses.
• Experience in public accounting or equivalent delivering controls-based IT audits.
• Information security experience or training required.
• Strong client service, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good time management and ability to work in a complex team.
• Ability to work extra hours and travel; US-work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IT audit services including testing and assessment of information systems controls.
• Identify security and risk issues and opportunities for process improvement.
• Interact with client management to manage expectations and deadlines.
• Develop understanding of client operations and objectives for engagements.
• Participate in recruiting and other business development activities.
• Meet IT Assurance metrics such as billable hours and deadlines.
