Job summary

DLA Piper's Trademark, Copyright & Media Group in California seeks a junior associate or non-partnership track attorney with at least two years of law firm experience in trademark and copyright litigation and counseling.

The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, a client-first mindset, and a collaborative approach, thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume practice and in a team environment. A strong school pedigree and AmLaw 100 experience are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• At least two years of trademark and copyright counseling and litigation experience.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Excellent client-facing communication.
• Background from a nationally recognized law school preferred.
• Experience at AmLaw 100 firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support cases and transactions.
• Draft briefs, motions, contracts, and formal correspondence.
• Manage complex trademark and copyright matters from inception to resolution.
• Interact with clients and internal teams to provide updates and strategic advice.
• Collaborate with partners to develop case strategies.
• Attend hearings, depositions, negotiations, and trials as needed.
• Ensure compliance with firm policies and professional standards.
