Job summary

[Law Firm] in California seeks a Junior Associate Attorney or non-partnership track attorney for its Trademark, Copyright & Media Practice Group. Hybrid in-office model across multiple CA offices, with strong client exposure and cross-border matters.

Ideal candidate has a top-tier JD, CA bar in good standing, and 2 years of trademark/copyright counseling and litigation experience. AmLaw 100 exposure preferred; excellent writing and analytical abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier, nationally recognized law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
• 2 years of substantive experience with trademark & copyright counseling and litigation, trademark clearance, prosecution strategy, and portfolio management.
• Experience with trademark and copyright ownership, licensing, and fair use Intellectual property provisions in commercial and corporate transactions.
• Applicable prior AmLaw 100 law firm preferred
• Strong analytical and legal writing skills. Demonstrated oral and written advocacy communication skills; Research and problem-solving skills.
• Soft Skills: Attention to detail; ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice; manage multiple matters and client relationships; organizational skills; collaboration and independence; conceptual thinking; influence others; persuasive communication; business judgment.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex trademark and copyright litigation, including trial-level work and disputes.
• Counsel on strategy, enforcement, risk management, and media law compliance.
• Assist in investigating, prosecuting, and defending against advertising, marketing, and unfair competition claims.
• Draft and argue motions, prepare discovery responses, and manage trial preparation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to develop case strategies and ensure seamless representation.
