Job summary

A prestigious AmLaw 50 firm seeks an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney to join its nationwide IP litigation practice. The role focuses on patent and trade secret disputes across federal courts, ITC, and PTAB proceedings, with hybrid work locations available.

Candidates will have a JD from a top-tier law school, active bar admission, 2–4 years of IP litigation experience, and a technical degree preferred.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 2–4 years of substantive IP litigation experience including patent or trade secret disputes.
• Trial, IPR, and ITC experience are highly valued.
• Bachelor’s or higher in EE, CS, physics, chemistry, bio/chem eng or equivalent preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage matters independently and effectively.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong work ethic and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex IP disputes including patent and trade secret litigation.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies in federal courts, ITC, and administrative proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other substantive documents.
• Coordinate discovery including e-discovery with clients, co-counsel, and vendors.
• Conduct depositions, support trial teams, and participate in hearings and trials.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates to deliver exceptional client service.
• Engage with clients on strategic IP enforcement and defense planning.
