Job summary

Oculus Group is seeking an Intellectual Property Associate to join its national IP practice focusing on trademark, copyright, advertising and media. The role offers exposure to counseling, prosecution and disputes across a broad IP portfolio for established brands and growing businesses.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of relevant trademark experience, strong research, writing and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a client‑facing team.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant trademark experience.
• Experience with trademark counseling and/or prosecution.
• Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, client-focused team.

Responsibilities

• Handle trademark counseling, clearance, prosecution and portfolio management.
• Support trademark enforcement and brand protection matters.
• Provide copyright counseling and related IP issues.
• Support advertising and marketing law work.
• Assist with Trademark Trial and Appeal Board proceedings.
• Contribute to Copyright Office matters and NAD proceedings.
• Contribute to IP litigation and other contested matters.
• Assist with licensing and commercial IP agreements.
• Assist with sweepstakes and promotional matters.
• Address privacy-related issues affecting advertising, media and brands.
