Job summary

Symetra Investment Management (SIM) is seeking an Investment Operations Analyst to support day-to-day investment operations for portfolio managers, traders, and compliance teams. You will handle trade entry, reconciliations, and processing of secondary events while ensuring accurate data and timely settlements.

The role involves client communications, policy reviews, and collaboration on automation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum of 2+ years in Investments or Finance related field.
• Experience with trade order management systems is preferred.
• Proficient in data accuracy and reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities

• Process investment transactions including entry in trade order management system and confirmations.
• Perform or review reconciliations across OMS, investment book of record, custodian, and accounting agent.
• Handle secondary events like corporate actions, paydowns, capital calls/distributions, and derivative collateral management.
• Maintain client relations with institutional clients and provide timely information.
• Review policies and processes and suggest improvements and automation.
• Support audits and ad hoc reporting tasks.
• Provide backup for Trusts/other strategies as needed.
