Job summary

Parametric, part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, seeks an Investment Engineer to partner with Portfolio Management and Research to enhance data, analysis and content. The role focuses on internal support for portfolio managers and clients, producing high-quality analysis and content for client reporting and strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in investment roles, strong knowledge of the investment industry and quantitative methods, and proficiency in Python and SQL.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in investment role or similar
• In-depth knowledge of investment industry and quantitative methods
• Proficiency in Python/SQL or related languages
• Graduate degree and/or CFA preferred
• Understanding of Overlay Solutions and related instruments
• Experience with swaps, options, and futures required
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail
• Collaborative team player with initiative and problem-solving mindset
• Willingness to learn new technologies and languages

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing investment analysis processes
• Develop new quantitative content and perform custom analyses for client requests
• Serve as liaison between Portfolio Management and Research for quantitative content
• Automate processes to increase efficiency and scalability of client analyses
• Ensure data integrity and consistent processes to support client accounts
• Produce client deliverables and trainings for investment professionals
• Act as a technical resource for Portfolio Management and respond to ad hoc requests
• Support related tasks for clients and strategic initiatives
