Job summary

The Brookings Institution, a leading think tank in Washington, DC, is seeking an Investment Analyst to support investment operations, data management, and reporting within a four-person team. The role will evolve into investment research and portfolio analysis as you gain experience.

Regular travel (~10-20%) and a hybrid in-office/remote schedule are expected. You will contribute to capital calls, data gathering, and documentation, while collaborating with senior staff to enhance portfolio

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 0–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Interest in endowment investing and financial markets.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work independently and with a team.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Outlook, Word; experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Automate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage information flows for the investment team and prepare exhibits for Investment Committee and Board.
• Enter and maintain capital account statements and performance data for portfolio tracking.
• Assist with investment subscription and redemption documents and respond to manager requests.
