Job summary

The Brookings Institution's Economic Studies Program, home to The Hamilton Project, is seeking a Research Assistant to support policy analysis, data work, and author collaboration in a hybrid Washington, DC office.

You will help develop policy agendas, analyze data with Stata or R, create figures and dashboards, and assist senior researchers with drafting and coordinating policy proposals and publications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or related field and relevant policy research experience.
• Strong quantitative, analytic, and writing/editing skills.
• Experience with Stata or R, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute policy research and analyze data; present findings visually and in writing.
• Co-author Hamilton Project research products and maintain data dashboards.
• Coordinate policy proposals, track drafts, and ensure quality control with communications.
