Job summary

Medline, headquartered in Northfield, IL, is seeking an Operations Specialist to join a hybrid team. You’ll coordinate inventory across branches, work with Product Managers and Inventory Management to optimize service, and handle DEDs, returns, and vendor issues.

The role requires at least 1 year of administrative support experience, strong Excel/Access skills, and solid analytical abilities. Salary ranges hourly, with comprehensive benefits and 401(k) contributions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of relevant business or administrative support experience.
• Intermediate Excel skills (SUM function, borders, charts, text wrap, sort, headers/footers).
• Intermediate Access skills (queries, data types, required fields, labels).
• Intermediate analysis and math abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inventory levels across branches (surplus, stock transfers, returns, DEDs, slot holds).
• Contact branches to obtain product break downs or propose solutions for Sales.
• Review and approve all DED requests.
• Work with AP to resolve vendor discrepancies.
• Respond to product information requests from the sales force and provide Medline literature brochures.
• Assist with overflow calls from the Product Support team.
• Review back order, surplus, DEDs/RCIs, HOTSHEETS and open PO reports.
• Process all returns and review AP issues with vendors and slot holds.
