Medline Industries, LP in Northfield, IL, is seeking an Operations Specialist on a hybrid basis. The role ensures proper stocking of inventory across branches and coordinates with Product Managers and Inventory Management to improve service to customers.

You will handle inventory coordination, review returns, support sales with literature, and resolve vendor discrepancies with AP. A background in Excel and Access is preferred, with at least one year of administrative experience.

• Intermediate Excel and Access skills and basic math/analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inventory levels (surplus, stock transfers, returns, DEDs, slot holds).
• Contact branches to obtain product breakdowns or offer solutions for Sales.
• Review and approve all DED requests.
• Collaborate with AP to resolve vendor discrepancies.
• Respond to product information requests from the sales force.
• Provide Sales with Medline literature and cross-reference brochures.
• Assist with overflow calls from Product Support.
• Review back order, surplus, DED/RCI stocking, HOTSHEETS, and PO reports.
• Process all returns; review AP issues with vendors and slot holds.

Job Summary

Medline has an opening for an Operations Specialist! This position will be based out of our Northfield, IL headquarters and will work on a hybrid model. The Operations Specialist will ensure proper stocking of inventory in all branches for the Division, as well as coordinate with the Product Managers and Inventory Management to discuss action plans to determine how to provide the best service to Medline's customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate inventory levels (surplus, stock transfers, returns, DEDs, slot holds).
• Contact branches to receive product break downs and/or to offer a solution for Sales.
• Review and approve all DED requests.
• Work with AP to resolve any vendor discrepancies.
• Respond to product information requests from the sales force.
• Provide Sales the appropriate Medline preferred cross-reference literature brochures.
• Asssist with the over flow calls from the Product Support team.
• Review: back order report, surplus report, customer requested product stocking (DEDs/ RCIs), HOTSHEETS and open Purchase Order reports.
• Process all returns.
• Review all AP issues with vendors (overbill notices, problem tickets, debit memos and credits) and slot holds.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Work Experience: At least 1 year relevant business or administrative support experience.
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Access (for example: designing and creating simple queries, modifying data types, adding dates, working with required fields and/or creating labels).
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Intermediate analysis and math skills.

Salary and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position: $23.25 - $33.75 Hourly. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.

Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average.

For roles where employees work less than 30 hours per week, benefits include 401(k) contributions, paid time off, as well as access to the Employee Assistance Program, Employee Resource Groups and the Employee Service Corp.
