Job summary

Grainger invites students to join the Grainger Technology Group (GTG) internship in Chicago for a 10-week, paid program as a Business Systems Analyst Intern. You will collaborate with technology and business teams to deliver solutions supporting Grainger’s customers and operations, including SAP, SaaS platforms, and custom applications.

You will gain hands-on experience across enterprise systems and software delivery while learning how technology enables business processes and drives value.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Exposure to enterprise systems and software delivery.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Familiarity with SAP, SQL, Python, and Power BI is a plus.
• Ability to work across business and technology teams.
• Interest in AI-enabled tooling and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Partner with analysts, engineers, product and portfolio teams to understand processes and technology solutions.
• Document system requirements and translate business needs into solutions.
• Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and process docs.
• Learn how SAP, SaaS platforms, and integrations support end-to-end processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support delivery activities.
• Assist with configuration, testing, and validation of system changes.
• Explore AI-enabled tools to prototype and improve efficiency.
