Job summary

Tatum by Randstad is seeking an Interim Controller in the Northwest Houston area for a hybrid role. This hands-on leadership position will work with a high-growth MSP/IT services client and manage month-end close, financial reporting to the board, and M&A data requests.

The role requires an in-person presence for planning cycles and close collaboration with the executive team. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in finance leadership within mid-size companies, a CPA and/or MBA preferred, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred (not required).
• MSP/IT services background with recurring revenue and project accounting is highly desirable.
• Hands-on QuickBooks Online, RAMP and Halo PSA proficiency expected.

Responsibilities

• Day to day accounting: keep books clean, close month, reconcile bank/GL, and record revenue/expenses per US GAAP.
• Board and executive reporting: prepare and deliver monthly/quarterly/annual financials to leadership and Board.
• Budgeting and forecasting: lead annual budget, capital planning, and forecasting with in-person November planning.
• Operational execution: collaborate with bookkeeper and exec team; manage AR/AP, cash flow, risk and controls.
• Strategic M&A support: model financials, due diligence, valuations, and integration planning.
