Job summary

AssistRx, Inc. seeks an Insurance Verification Specialist to help patients access medications by verifying insurance coverage, navigating billing, and supporting prior authorizations.

The role requires sharp attention to benefit details and strong communication with providers and payers. Based in Maitland, FL with onsite requirements and potential hybrid options after training, you will conduct benefit investigations, document coverage specifics, and collaborate with field staff to resolve

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding and experience with Major Medical & Pharmacy Benefit Coverage.
• 2 to 3 years of benefit investigation involving the analysis and interpretation of insurance coverage.
• 2 to 3 years of experience interacting with healthcare providers in regard to health insurance plan requirements.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and grammar.
• Salesforce system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cases move through the process as required in compliance with company requirements and procedures; deliver high-quality service.
• Conduct benefit investigations for patients by making outbound calls to payers to verify coverage and navigate reimbursement barriers.
• Verify patient-specific benefits and document coverage, cost share and access/provider options.
• Identify coverage restrictions and details on how to expedite patient access.
• Document and initiate prior authorization processes and claims appeals.
• Report reimbursement trends or delays in coverage to management.
• Act as a liaison for field representatives, health care providers and patients.
