Job summary

National Indemnity Company in Omaha, NE, seeks a data‑driven Insurance Finance Data Analyst to prepare and analyze financial working papers, statutory reports, and management information for the Insurance Data Unit. The role supports accounting, data management, and reporting activities for accurate program analysis.

The position offers hybrid work after initial in-office training and does not sponsor visas. Collaboration with IT and Finance is essential to maintain data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• One or more years of work experience.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel and Word) and basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, reconcile, and interpret financial and insurance data from multiple sources.
• Prepare working papers, schedules, and financial or statutory reports for assigned programs.
• Process funding and loss payment requests and maintain cash controls and intercompany settlements.
• Coordinate daily, monthly, and year-end financial information between locations and the Omaha office.
• Support maintenance and accuracy of Financial Database systems in coordination with IT and Finance.
• Assist with calculating supplemental reserves and IBNR allocations per guidelines.
• Develop and maintain tools to support reporting and processing needs.
• Compile data and prepare reports for management, regulators, auditors, and internal partners.
• Stay current on insurance accounting and financial reporting practices.
• Respond to audit inquiries related to financial data and controls.
