Iowa Orthopedic Center is seeking an Insurance Denial Specialist to monitor Accounts Receivable recovery for insurance carriers. This role emphasizes accuracy in reimbursement, patient communication, and payer interactions.

After initial onsite training, the role offers a hybrid schedule with hours 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, focusing on efficient denial resolution and timely processing.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of CPT/ ICD-10/ HCPC with regards to auditing accounts for correct reimbursement.
• Knowledge of daily, monthly, yearly process of the insurance patient account representative position.
• Prior experience with workers’ compensation preferred.
• Excellent communication skills including strong customer service over the phone and in person.
• Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to utilize web tools, fee schedules, and insurance correspondence to work accounts efficiently and timely.

Aufgaben

• Answer insurance questions.
• Work patient accounts and the Clearinghouse rejections.
• Carry out special projects as assigned and other duties as assigned.
• Denial Work Log adjustments and review/approve payer and patient refunds.
• Assist with other duties as assigned and manage assigned payer AR.
• Hybrid work schedule after training; onsite during initial period; hours 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Mon-Fri.
