Job summary

OrthoMed Anesthesia is seeking an AR Specialist 2 to resolve complex accounts receivable, including denied and aged claims, with a focus on denial analysis and payer-specific resolution strategies. This on-site role is based at the Addison, TX corporate office and requires collaboration with billing, coding, and leadership teams.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in medical billing or AR, strong documentation skills, and proficiency with EOBs, ERAs, and payer portals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of medical billing, healthcare AR, claims follow-up, denial management, appeals, or revenue cycle experience.
• Ability to interpret EOBs, ERAs, denial codes, reimbursement variances, and payer-specific appeal requirements.
• Strong claim-resolution judgment with the ability to determine follow-up, corrected claim submission, reconsideration, appeal, escalation, or adjustment review.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex AR inventory including denied or aged claims.
• Analyze EOBs, ERAs, payer correspondence, and remittance detail to determine root cause and resolution.
• Prepare, submit, and track reconsiderations, corrected claims, formal appeals, and supporting documentation.
• Investigate denials related to authorization, eligibility, medical necessity, timely filing, coding, or payer errors.
• Coordinate with coding, billing, clinical documentation, credentialing, contracting, and leadership teams.
