The successful candidate will handle cases from inception through trial or settlement, with significant client responsibility, research, writing, and advocacy opportunities in a dynamic NY practice.

Qualifications

• 1–6+ years of insurance coverage litigation experience.
• Significant experience handling insurance coverage disputes and bad faith litigation.
• Strong understanding of New York insurance law and policy interpretation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Strong negotiation and dispute-resolution experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in sophisticated insurance coverage disputes involving commercial and personal policies.
• Analyze policies, endorsements, exclusions, and related documents to determine coverage.
• Develop strategic litigation plans for complex claims and bad faith matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research on insurance law and policy interpretation.
• Represent clients in mediations, depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings.
• Negotiate favorable settlements while protecting clients' interests.
• Advise clients on litigation strategy, policy interpretation, and potential recovery.
• Collaborate with attorneys and litigation support on complex matters.
• Manage multiple litigation files with deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Maintain exceptional client communication throughout all stages of litigation.
• Stay current on developments in New York insurance law and bad faith litigation.
