Job summary

Gallagher is seeking a Hybrid Broker Placement Executive to shape our Michigan growth by collaborating with insurers and producers on placements, submissions, and strategic plans. You will help secure new business, market key placements, and nurture strong carrier relationships.

In this role you’ll review expiring coverage, tailor submissions, negotiate terms, and support underwriting discussions while coordinating with our claims team to advocate for clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Commercial/P&C broker experience
• Established relationships with insurers
• Experience leading presentations to clients and carrier partners
• Licensed in applicable jurisdictions and manage CE hours
• Ability to explain complex issues clearly to clients and colleagues
• Resourceful and innovative problem-solving mindset
• Familiarity with insurance document management software (EPIC) is a plus
• Hybrid work format in Michigan offices (Grand Rapids preferred)

Responsibilities

• Review expiring coverage terms, loss history, and exposures to identify gaps.
• Prepare submissions and gather loss reports for quotes.
• Tailor submissions to qualified carriers and develop customized insurance solutions.
• Collaborate with underwriters to analyze client risks and update exposures.
• Ensure smooth information flow between Gallagher and carriers and keep submissions on track.
• Support producers in securing new business and marketing placements.
