Job summary

Xylem is hiring an Instructional & Content Designer in Morrisville, NC, to create engaging digital learning experiences that help customers implement and maintain Xylem solutions. The role blends instructional design with multimedia development, including videos, graphics, and interactive media, with a focus on clear, customer-ready content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Technical Communications, Educational Technology, Multimedia Design, Information Design, a related field, or a combination of appropriate work experience.
• 5+ years of experience designing and developing instructor led or digital content.
• Experience creating instructional videos, including storyboarding, scripting, production, and editing using software such as Camtasia or comparable video editing tools.
• Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, or comparable.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud for developing graphics, videos, interactive media, and other digital learning assets. Preference for advanced experience with PowerPoint, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Strong stakeholder management, project management, and communication skills.
• Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learning Experience Design: Define learning outcomes and design instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced experiences.
• Content & Multimedia Development: storyboard, script, produce, and edit multimedia assets and videos.
• Leverage tooling to create engaging assets and ensure brand alignment.
• Learning Needs Analysis & Continuous Improvement: analyze needs and update training materials as needed.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Project Execution: partner with SMEs and teams to deliver high-quality learning solutions.
