Job summary

Inhabit is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our Knoxville team. You will craft ILT, virtual, eLearning, and blended learning programs, translating complex product concepts into clear, engaging experiences for onboarding and ongoing development.

Responsibilities include collaborating with SMEs, creating design documents and assessments, and applying adult learning principles to drive performance improvements. Proficiency with Articulate tools and LMS is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or related field.
• 3+ years of instructional design, eLearning development, or corporate training experience.
• Experience designing for software products, SaaS, or technology organizations.
• Proficiency with Articulate Storyline/Rise or similar tools.
• Knowledge of LMS and learning analytics.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business needs and define learning objectives.
• Design and develop ILT, virtual, eLearning, and blended learning materials.
• Create design documents, storyboards, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and assessments.
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate complex information into engaging learning.
• Apply adult learning principles and performance improvement strategies.
• Maintain templates, standards, and documentation for consistency and scalability.
• Design curricula and learning pathways to support onboarding and product adoption.
• Utilize instructional design tools to create interactive experiences.
• Update content to align with product releases and business priorities.
• Measure learning effectiveness and business impact; support pilot and rollout activities.
