Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager to lead an enterprise Infrastructure Efficiency and Capacity Management practice across compute, storage, and cloud platforms. You will drive data-driven decisions, forecast demand, and coordinate with Finance and engineering to optimize investments and lifecycle management.

The role requires 12+ years in infrastructure and 5+ years leading senior technical teams, with strong skills in TCO modeling, Kubernetes, and cloudFinOps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 12+ years in infrastructure engineering, cloud/platform systems, or enterprise capacity planning.
• 5+ years leading high-performing teams of senior engineers, architects, or technical managers.
• Experience directing capacity planning, hardware/cloud lifecycles, workload utilization, and service continuity at scale.
• Proven ability to develop quantitative capacity models, demand forecasts, and multi-million dollar TCO/CapEx/OpEx business cases.
• Ability partner with cross-functional leadership to govern investment decisions and drive cost-savings.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of engineers and analysts in capacity economics and platform efficiency.
• Establish operating model for demand forecasting, unit economics, and cloud/hardware decisions across Jira and ServiceNow.
• Evaluate infrastructure purchases, cloud expansions, and hardware refreshes using data signals and TCO models.
• Govern efficiency strategies including workload placement, right-sizing, lifecycle timing, and cloud commitments.
• Collaborate with Finance to verify savings and avoid double counting, communicating risks to leadership.
• Present strategic recommendations and trade-offs to executives and engineering teams.
