Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a senior capacity planner to build and maintain rolling forecasts for cloud capacity across CSPs, regions, and workloads. You will align demand with supply, negotiate reservations with CSPs, and collaborate with sales, engineering, and FinOps to optimize spend.

You will mentor teammates and introduce AI-enabled forecasting tools to improve accuracy and speed across all regions, driving on-time deliveries and clear capacity ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, supply chain, data analytics or related field and 8+ years experience, or a master's and 6+ years experience.
• Experience in cloud or infrastructure capacity planning with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, incl. quotas and reservations.
• Experience building demand forecasts and scenario models.
• Experience building reports and dashboards.
• Experience working with FinOps or finance teams on cloud cost management and reservations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a rolling capacity forecast by CSP, region, workload and resource type.
• Compare demand with available supply and work with CSPs on reservations.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering and FinOps on planning and costs.
• Mentor fellow capacity planners and introduce AI-enabled tools for faster planning.
