Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Principal Architect to lead architectural direction for infrastructure platforms and data services across hybrid estates, including cloud, on-prem, mainframe, and SaaS.

You will mentor engineers, develop target-state roadmaps, create reusable patterns, and apply AI capabilities with strong governance and security. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on delivery in a dynamic financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training in architecture concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
• Deep knowledge across infrastructure platforms, cloud/hybrid infra, data and integration.
• Hands-on design, development, testing, automation and operations in complex environments.
• Expertise in architecture modeling for platforms and products.
• Experience guiding multi-year roadmaps and modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Advise cross-functional teams on technology choices and trade-offs.
• Lead architecture for complex hybrid estates including cloud, on-prem, mainframe and SaaS.
• Develop target-state architecture and multi-year modernization roadmaps.
• Create reusable architecture patterns and reference implementations.
• Partner to improve architecture governance, RFCs and auditable decisions.
• Apply AI capabilities to architecture analysis and roadmaps with human oversight.
• Remain hands-on in technical delivery and prototype development.
• Mentor architects and communicate with senior leaders.
